Welcome to another episode of the Small Steps, BIG WINS podcast. I am so glad that you decided to spend your time with me today. In today’s Monday Mornings Matter, we drop into a conversation that I had with Torre Samonek. If you missed his story, please go back and listen because I think you will be inspired.
In the following episode, we identified 7 things that you can do today:
If you are doing a job that you don’t like, take action and do something it to change it. This makes me think of the Steve Job’s quote that says, “ If today was the last day of my life, would I be happy with what I am about to do today? If not too many times, change it!”
Learn to critique yourself, but not in a harmful way. Don’t beat yourself up but look for those negative qualities that you can turn into positives.
Make a decision and then act on it. That’s self explanatory but if you are not taking action, then ask yourself why?
Look for opportunities and be open to what is in your path; shift your mindset.
Fail fast – learn to see failure an opportunity to learn and grow and become better. The story goes that Edision failed 1000 times before he discovered the light bulb. I think we can all agree that we’re glad he didn’t give up!
Torre talked about to deal with imposter syndrome
Realize it’s OK to be wrong.
I hope you enjoyed this episode of Monday Mornings Matter. If you want to hear more of Torre’s story, please check out the episode right before this one. Remember life doesn’t get better by chance, it gets better by choice. Take small steps and make today awesome, friends.
God bless.
